Here's what Harrysong, aka Mr Songz, who is currently living large under his new management, KCee's 5Star Music, said in an interview with Punch:
“Before now we (songwriters) charged between N100, 000 and N2000, 000 for a song. Today I charge as much as 1million to write a song.
Truth is, Nigerian artistes have begun to appreciate songwriters. They pay me my money and appreciate me. I have written a lot of songs but I don’t talk about them because Nigerian artistes don’t like it when the songwriters take credit for compising songs for them.”

Fast Money!!! Popular Comedian, Caught With Cocaine At Enugu Airport
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, yesterday arrested two foreigners for drug trafficking at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, AIIA, Enugu.
The suspects, a 54-year-old Ghanaian comedian, Musah Iddrisu aka Charles Udunehi and a citizen of Congo Democratic Republic, Inana Cedrick were apprehended at the airport during inward and outward screening of Ethiopian airline passengers.
The Ghanaian, Iddrisu, was said to have bought 450 grammes of cocaine for US$19,000 which he ingested on his way to Thailand while Cedrick, a student, was caught with 1.500 kilogrammes of heroin.
Speaking on the arrest, NDLEA Commander at the Enugu airport, Mr. Nsikak-Abasi Udoh, said Inana Cedrick was caught with 1.500 kilogrammes of heroin while Musah Iddrisu was found to have ingested 450 grammes of cocaine.
Udoh added that a Nigerian, Mr. John Obi Nwadilichukwu, was also apprehended by officials of the anti-narcotic agency.
He said: “The Ghanaian comedian ingested 450 grammes of cocaine on his way to Thailand while the student from Congo DRC imported 1.500kg of heroin into the country. We have also apprehended a Nigerian by name John Obi Nwadilichukwu, who was to receive the student, collect the drug and pay him for smuggling it.”
Meanwhile, Chairman of NDLEA, Ahmadu Giade, has said adequate security efforts had been made to apprehend drug traffickers at the Enugu International Airport.
He said: “We have already deployed our officials to the Enugu airport before it commenced international flights. Adequate security measures have been put in place to apprehend drug traffickers at the airport.”
According to him, all the suspects have made confessional statements and would soon be charged to court.

The student, Inana, said that he was given the drug by a Nigerian woman at Nairobi to deliver to her husband in Enugu, noting that he wanted to use the money that he would be paid in buying beads which he would sell in Tanzania.
He said: “I was given the drug in Nairobi by a Nigerian woman who told me to give it to her husband, John Obi Nwadilichukwu, who resides in Enugu. I wanted to use the money they promised to pay me in buying beads for sale in Tanzania. I am a secondary school student from a poor home.”

Also, the Ghanaian comedian, Musah Iddrisu, said he wanted to sell the drugs in Thailand, adding that he went into drug trafficking because he was broke.
According to him, “I am a Ghanaian and a comedian by profession. I got involved in drug trafficking because of my financial predicament. I bought the drugs in Ghana, ingested it and came to Enugu airport. As a new airport, I felt the security will not be like other airports but I was caught. I regret my action.”

This is somewhat hilarious, Six months after they got married, 46 year old Ian Cuthbert, put up raunchy fliers of his 34 year old wife Alison in her underwear all over their local town with the captions - "Married and committing adultery within days", and "Lock Up Your Husbands" because he believed she had cheated on him. Days after Allison moved out of their home, the IT boss posted the fliers on trees, lamppost, local eatries and on a noticeboard of the school where the woman worked. Allison called the police and Ian was charged with distributing offensive pictures of his wife.
The case is currently in court.

Gospel singer Kefee, in a chat with Encomium Magazine while trying to defend her Kokoroko song with secular singer Tamara, told this interesting story of her experience with now happily married Ese Walter's COZA pastor, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo. Please read:
You started out as a traditional gospel singer, along the line your deviated. Would we say you re-branded?
If you have my album or albums, you would know that I am doing same kind of music, but different genres. For instance, the kind of songs in Branama 1 is the same with other songs, but with improved production and vocals.
Some people were not happy because you featured Timaya in Kokoroko and he’s a secular singer. How would you react to that?
Before I react to that question, let me tell you this short true story. In 2008, I was invited to perform at a church (name withheld) in Abuja for the second time. The publicity for the show was massive, they had distributed invitation card to guests, people were even calling to confirm if I was going to perform. In fact, I got copies of the flyers weeks before the show.
I was getting ready to go to the airport when I got a call from the pastor’s P.A, asking if I had seen a certain newspaper’s story about me. I said yes, it was a scandal.
And he said they don’t want to have anything to do with me because of that scandal. Besides, he added that they have top government officials who worship in their church, and all sort.
I said ok, but the so-called senior pastor, who called me initially to plead with me to accept a certain amount because it was a new church couldn’t call me anymore, he had to send his P.A to tell me that. He didn’t care what happened to me, if it was true what said about me by an angry, bitter man.
I felt really low not because I didn’t do the show but because they cared less what happened to me, because that would have been the end of my career.
Now, I called Timaya. We met at a studio somewhere in Festac town, and Timaya asked me about the same scandal. And he told me what I expected a man of God would’ve told me. I remember, he said to me:
“Don’t worry, if your hands are clean, you will see God turn things around for you. God will help you, my sister.”
I say this in all sobriety, after which we recorded Kokoroko. When Kokoroko came out and Timi (Dakolo) listened to it, he said “Kefee, you dey make me like God in a different way.”
Now, you tell me, who acted like a good human? Who would have ever thought that the so-called man of God, who now has his share of scandal and is still planning a robust reply would act that weird? So, when I heard people talking about me featuring Timaya, it sounded funny. God can use anything, anybody.
Music is an art that transcends all. Timaya was good for that song and he delivered, that’s what matters to me.
I don’t judge people. If he was a doctor, you won’t say he shouldn’t treat you because he isn’t a Christian. It won’t matter then. All you would want is have him do his job and that was what he did. He did a good job on that song you can’t deny that. And to me, that’s what counts.
Many people have criticized you because of your way of dressing, saying that it is not Christ-like. How would you react to that?
Really? I dress the way I like, I like my African print and again, everyone can’t like every style or design. So, that’s acceptable.
''Samuel Eto'o Is 39, Not 32'' His Baby Mama Anna Barranca Claims
About a week after Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was secretly filmed saying he thinks Samuel Eto'o is older than his age, his ex Anna Barranca has spoken out saying Eto'o is way older than 32.
"The problem with Chelsea is I lack a scorer. I have Eto’o but he is 32 years old, maybe 35, who knows?’ Mourinho said in a private conversation but it was secretly recorded and published on a sports website. It has since been taken down.
Now Eto'o's former lover, Anna Barranca, who is 43years old and has an 11year old daughter, Annie, with the footballer said he's not 35, but 39 going on 40.
The Italian hairdresser (pictured above with her daughter) told The Sun UK today "I think Samuel is not 35 he is more 39. Samuel was born in 1974 and so that makes him 39 now.' She claims she was informed of Eto'o's true age when they were dating by a friend who grew up with Eto'o in Cameroon.
According to his passport, Eto'o was born in 1981.

Guys, remember the drama that unfolded last year after Nollywood actor Solomon Akiyesi was publicly embarrased and humiliated beyond imagination by his then pregnant wife, Lilian Akiyesi, right? Solomon was in church to wed another woman when his still legal wife Lilian stormed the venue and unleased hell.
According to reports, the actor Solomon Akiyesi recently got the shock of his life when his in-laws arranged a meeting where he thought a reconciliation would be negotiated but instead he was handed the bride price he paid on Lilian, his second wife and the mother of his daughter.
The meeting which was reportedly held in Port Harcourt on February 13, 2014 was like a time bomb that almost exploded as Solomon's estranged Father in law told him without mincing words that his daughter was no longer interested in staying married to him and thus they wanted to use the opportunity to return the dowry....and our dear actor, who definitely had no choice, collected and pocketed his money.
Solomon and Lilian also had a registry wedding and Lilian has since filed for divorce. What a shame!
